The Banks

The banks are the two gray bands to the right and left of the printed film. They are a loss but are absolutely necessary to avoid printing the counter cylinders. The markers: These are the colored blocks located within the left bank of the film in the example above. The marks are necessary to adjust the stroke of the rolls between them and in the transverse direction of the printing machine. They result in targets where the colored pad must reach the center as perfectly as possible.

The colors are stacked (see above figure on the right), starting with the darker (black) and ending with the lighter (white).

Influences on the decoration

The white background: support of the colors of the decoration. It is necessary to know that two colors are called opaque, namely white and black. All other colors remain more or less translucent. The opacity of the white shows a degree according to the means used and therefore will be influenced by the choice of the latter and the importance of the coloring of the content. Below is a rough simulation of the expected results according to the chosen means.
